About This Site

Horror Film History, written by Karina Wilson, dates back to 2000 and has existed on this URL, roughly in this form, since 2005 and grew from my notes on classes I began teaching in 1999. Much has happened within the horror genre since then – but it’s always changed with the times. This educational site is also for lovers of horror films and those who enjoy revisiting those texts both for the thrills they have to offer and the way they refract the zeitgeist through a supernatural lens.

If you’d like to consult me about a horror project, or quote me in an article, or feature me in your horror documentary, then please get in touch.

The site is in a transitionary phase at the moment, so please also let me know about any missing URLs or old material you can’t find.

Buy me a cup of tea

A ridiculous amount of tea was consumed in the process of building this project. Add some fuel if you'd like to keep me going!
